Perch Seat Stairlifts
A perch seat stairlift is ideal for individuals who find a seated position too uncomfortable. Perch seat stairlifts are very similar to standing stair lifts, with the exception that they provide additional support underneath the buttocks, so the user is transported in a perching position. Perching stairlifts also have guard rails that the user can hold onto during transport.
If you have restricted movement in the knee or hip joints you may find sitting painful. In these situations a perch seat may be the solution.
A Perch seat means that the user is almost in a standing position when they are using the lift. There is a shortened seat and retractable seat belt which provide a stable support area for users to 'perch' on.
Perch seats are available on the Minivator Simplicity+, Minivator 1000 and Minivator 2000 stairlifts.
